Aurum The River Place is a compact boutique hotel on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. Having grown up in this area with stunning views and having lived all our lives in this Thai-Chinese community with its fascinating history, we have decided to convert this 50-year-old warehouse into a small hotel where we can share with our guests being this Nice, peaceful feel to be part of a great area.
Turn into the alley with the red and white "BANKTHAI" sign and walk a short distance to the river. You'll see Aurum The River Place on the right and Vivi The Coffee Place directly ahead. Imagine the luxurious comfort of a 5-star hotel combined with the understated charm of a cozy inn. Add the relaxed style of a Thai Riverside Sala and you have Aurum for a unique experience. The hotel itself is a 4 storey European style building. Despite the many building regulations, we have managed to harmoniously create a stylish, classic boutique hotel with all modern comforts. High-quality bedding, bedding and bathroom accessories ensure a luxurious, comfortable stay. Here, guests will be able to experience the feeling of being at home, with a panoramic view of the exquisite river view.
The hotel's name, Aurum, comes from the Latin word for gold. Since gold holds a very special place in the hearts of Asians, we felt the name was fitting, especially in the old town. In religion, it is used as a precious substance in the construction of Buddha statues; of course, it is also a highly sought-after precious accessory for both men and women. Aurum's logo, gold leaf, depicts the traditional Thai way of worshiping Buddha statues by affixing fine gold leaf to them.
Aurum The River Place is not just a place to stay, it is the best way to experience the Thai river lifestyle. It's also an excellent location to visit several magnificent historical sites, many of which are just a few minutes' walk from the hotel.
