Kanzaki 01 is a designer home located by the vibrant Mitsuya Shopping Arcade in northern Osaka’s Yodogawa Ward. The design is the brain-child of Canadian entrepreneur Sam Zipursky – a man with a huge passion for celebrating and preserving Japanese culture. Rrenovations were completed in 2019, with this 73-square-meter home offeringoffers sleek modern design and an innovative use of space. High ceilings, timber flooring, and wood paneling give the house a tranquil and spacious atmosphere that’s perfect for groups of up to four people.
Take your shoes off in the spacious genkan, slide open the shoji (Japanese paper screen door), and put on a pair of complimentary slippers. The front of the house opens up to the living and dining area, along with a kitchenette and charming bench-seat dining area by the window. At the back of the ground floor is a large, modern bathroom with a deep bathtub and separate toilet facilities. The house is large enough to accommodate four guests.
The second level features two large rooms: a master bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite toilet and a second Japanese-style room with two futons, extra leisure space, and traditional tatami flooring. You can take in the local streetscape on your own private balcony, which is connected to the master bedroom.
Kanzaki 01’s flexible layout and comfortable combination of contemporary and traditional design in combination with an ideally sized kitchen make it a great longer-term rental option. Popular with guests planning to spend a little extended time in Osaka, Shiki offers discount plans for monthly and long-term rentals to those wanting to spend a little extra time at Kanazaki 01.
Kanzaki 01 can be booked with neighboring home Kanzaki 02 for flexibility and additional space.
